We have a fenced yard that your dog can wander around, explore, & sniff out the scents or they can cuddle up in the house with us. We strive to make sure your pup feels at home with us! If your pup(s) know how to use a doggy door, we have one that we can put up for their use. We try to understand some of the rules/guidelines you have at home & implement them here so your pet feels some consistency, which can help them in their transition with new people in a new environment. Please note: while we typically only book one dog family at a time, there can be instances where there is overlap of dogs staying here at the same time. We notify each pup owner about any overlap ahead of time, so they’re informed & comfortable. If your pup(s) do not tolerate other dogs, that is important to let us know.

Information Jon and Steph W. would like to know about your pet
We prefer dogs under 40 pounds, but it's not a deal breaker if they are a few pounds over. We prefer to not work with stereotypical aggressive breeds (i.e.; pit bulls, rottweilers, or doberman pinschers) in our home, but we promise, we don’t have anything against them! Things we like to know about your pet include: Are they fully house broken, do they know basic commands, do they bark/cry a lot, do they struggle with anxiety or any other emotional or physical needs that we should be aware of, and what is their favorite toy & activity? :)
A typical day
We’ll ask you if your dog has any favorite spots to visit/walk/play in. We will tailor each activity towards your dog’s preferences. We’ll play fetch, tug of war, chase, or just cuddle & make sure your dog feels loved. Our top priority is to keep your dog happy, feeling secure & loved.

Pet care experience
Hi! We are Jon and Stephanie. One of the things that sets us apart is that when you book us, you get both of us, giving you more availability for us to love on your pet. Stephanie is home throughout the day, while Jon is home evenings and weekends (basically when not working). We make a great team! We have done dog and house sitting for a number of years, and enjoy it greatly. We love dogs, but we do not have any of our own at this time. We can offer your pet(s) a lot of love and look forward to doing so. We stick around town a lot, which means we are available most holidays. We are non-smokers. We can water your plants if needed, or take your dog to his/her vet/grooming appointments. We look forward to talking to you soon!

Jon and Steph were amazing with Minnie. This is her second time staying with them and she absolutely loves them. She adjusted well and enjoyed her time there. Job and Steph cared so well for Minnie and it was evident with the photo updates. I will absolutely continue to take Minnie to them when I am unable to take her with me on trips.
This was our first time using Rover and also the first time leaving Eli with someone outside of family, so we were definitely a little nervous. Stephanie and Jon immediately put us at ease—they are such a nice, welcoming couple and were so well-prepared to care for our little man - their experience shows! We did a meet and greet beforehand to introduce Eli, go over his routine, and talk through the details of his care, which made us feel really comfortable. While we were away, they provided detailed updates and photos that reassured us he was happy and in great hands. The whole experience was smooth and easy, and we’d love for Stephanie and Jon to watch Eli again in the future!
John and Stephanie were incredibly thoughtful and concerned with Bertha's well-being and happiness. I believe that they treated Bertha as if she was their own. I would give them six stars if that was possible or more. If I ever have a need to leave Bertha with with anyone it will definitely be Stephanie and John I highly recommend them. HIGHLY!!
