Pet care experience
Hey, My name is John. I currently live in Grand Rapids, and I've owned and cared for all types of animals since I was a child. I have raised all shapes and sizes of dog for the last thirteen years. I currently own a Husky/Shepherd mix named Buck, and have had him for over 10 years. I also volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center in the area. I have experience in all facets of care, including administering medication, grooming, exercise, and feeding. I would love to help you and your furry friend balance out the time they must spend alone each day, as I'm an expert at tug of war and fetch. I've always loved animals of all types, and I look forward to meeting you and your furred companions, and working to make your life easier.

Johnny was very communicative and sent lots of photos and a video of my cat! He won her over by the end of his visit, and I appreciate him being available last minute. He also worked with my needs, as well as my cat’s medical care!
John takes really good care of my dog gizmo. I completely trust him in my house and with my dog. I work out of town every week so he's been watching him for a little while now.
Eloquent and a true animal lover, John will become a great asset to the Rover team. Being a a part of the Rover team myself (as a sitter), I know that half of the job is pleasing our pet-parents, and to do so, you must properly communicate all of the details of your stay with someone's pet. John is definitely a people person and truly understands how to make a person feel heard. While he is great with people, he is definitely inlove with all 4 -legged and feathery friends, as he has grown up with dogs, cats, rats, and never forgets to greet an animal, whether that be at a friends house or a stray he passes on the street. I do hope you accept John on your Rover team, so you can watch him and your pet parents thrive.

A typical day
Walks will be offered with routes based on area. I often prefer to ask the owner where they walk their dog, as it can be quite different depending on where the dog resides. I do not take dogs to dog parks, owing to the fact that while off leash, I can't guarantee what other dogs/people they will interact with. This is for my own liability and safety as well as the animals.
