Managing a home with three dogs is no easy task for me, let alone someone else. Mikey (rat terrier mix), Molly (German shepherd), and Maddie (German shepherd) are just about as rambunctious as dogs can get, so I knew that I needed someone with the energy, responsibility, and compassion to look after them for my spontaneous weekend getaways. I was honestly a bit nervous trusting a stranger with both my home and my "children" at first, but to be honest, I didn't even feel that John was a stranger when I answered my door. He immediately made a connection with the dogs, and was extremely kind and personable with me. Poor Mikey had to get part of his bowels removed a year ago, and has very special needs/medications as a result. When I expressed my slight apprehension, he assured me that I was leaving everything and everyone in great hands - and he was not kidding... Cut to two days later, I arrive home after a short vacation that I never wanted to end (spoiler alert: it ended), and I open my door to Molly and Maddie sprawling across John's lap fighting for the best napping position. He didn't seem to mind, though! He told me that they were great the entire weekend and that there were absolutely no problems. The dogs followed him to the door as he left, so I'd say they made a new friend. I did a quick check to make sure everything was in order in my home, which was another one of my main concerns. Everything was in its place, and my house was just as spotless as it was when I left. Needless to say, I was thrilled that I found someone I could trust.. John has been my go-to dog sitter for the past 6 months, and I'm not sure I would want anyone else watching them at this point.

John was my dog sitter for over 5 years. He is a very responsible man, always punctual, and got along with both of my dogs. If there were ever issues with other dogs (i.e. neighbors' dogs), John always handled the situation very maturely and efficiently. Every dog I have seen near him immediately gravitates toward him. I can think of no one I would trust more with my animals.
