Just another day in pup-a-dise!

Pet care experience

Hi there! My name is John and I would love the opportunity to care for your furbabies! From preparing homemade vegan treats to long walks by Green Lake/Yate Park, to lounging on the veranda out side my home, your dogs are in good hands when they are with me. 80% of the time I do have my "almost resident" dogs, 2 fluffy and friendly Pomeranians that I care for while my client has work travel. If you are comfortable having your dog over with them, I am willing to have another dog on site! My house has the space to roam, relax and play as they please, with plenty of toys and treats (if it's ok with mom and dad!!). For the past two years, I have been watching dogs and enjoying every minute of it. I treat my client's furbabies as if they were one of my own and certainly respect your wishes and dog's needs while in my care.

After years of trying different kennels and dog-sitters, I am so happy to say we’ve finally found someone that leaves me with a piece of mind while away! John is great with the dogs, takes them for walks and sends constant updates and pictures. He also picked them up and drops them off at our house making it oh so convenient. Fantastic!

Another great stay with John! Taco had a great time, I got updates a couple times a day on how he was doing. I was worried that taco wouldn’t get along with John’s resident dogs but when we picked him up he was reminiscent of a kid being picked up from a friends house. Would recommend John to anyone with a dog!

Let me begin by saying JOHN T. IS THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD!!! My schedule changed without notice and I was scrambling to find a caretaker for my dog-child Axl. But not just anyone.....someone who would care for Axl as their own. Insert John T. John T. has gone above and beyond making this "MAJOR" transition for both Axl and me as smooth and seamless as possible. He has really been the only part of the calm within my chaos (that is a +++ in my book). Axl's first overnight with John went off without a hitch. During Axl's stay John T. sent me pictures and updates keeping me in the loop (another +++). When I arrived to pick Axl up he was happy and excited as if he had a new "buddy". I am so pleased at how hands on John T. is with Axl. When we arrived home it was a great relief to see Axl not stressed, but rather relaxed and content.......and pooped out from all the fun, play and walks with John T. (yet another +++). I was so relieved!!! Just when I thought this could not get any better, I came across a surprise hidden in Axl's food bag. It was "The Pet Progress Report Card" John T. created with a speciality dog treat attached. I mean, come on......it was just so darn cute! Talk about over the top (and yet another +++)!!! Axl will definitely be staying with his new buddy, John T. again!!! ~Yvette P.S.- Just FYI, Axl got an A+ on his report card. He made his Mama proud! Lol!

Information John T. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know your preferred schedule of your dogs needs, so I can adhere as close to possible for you! Is your dog potty trained? Is there any special medications or treatments that need to be administered? Does your dog have any leash, food or toy aggression?

A typical day

I love to take long walks around Green Lake and Yates park, which is a short walk from my house in Orchard Park. It's a great way to stretch our legs and get some exercise! My neighborhood has plenty of side streets to go for a quick, short trip around the block to all the way to a couple miles walk, depending on your dog's activity level and needs. I always bring drinking water, waste bags, a flash light (for night walks) and treats (if allowed) for our walks together and certainly give each pup enough time to take a stroll and enjoy the scenery! When spending time in my home, all dogs have access to every room, including the screened sun porch when the weather permits, as well as an outdoor veranda. Inside, the pups are allowed to play and make themselves comfortable in every room and can snuggle on the couch, or even in my favorite chair! Toys are available inside and we do take multiple outdoor potty breaks outside in the backyard, which is not fenced in, but pups will be supervised outside (and on a leash if you wish). Most days, the music is on and I am cooking in the house for myself as well as the pups (as I do make homemade dog food fresh for my "almost resident" dogs). And don't be shy to let me know when it's your dog's birthday! I do make vegan pupcakes for your dog's special day, complete with Puppy Scoops Ice Cream (specifically for dogs) and even sing and howl "Happy Birthday"! The "almost-resident" pups wanted me to mention, that they love curling up on the couch and watching "The Secret Life of Pets" on Netflix after their morning stroll in the park, it's one of their favorite things to do until their momma comes to pick them up! Sleeping over? Time for a slumber party! Zoomies galore and walkies til were pooped out! And no worries, I have night lights throughout the house, just in case your pup gets scared of the dark or being in a new place! I do have blankets and beds for your furbaby, and plenty of space for them to sprawl out! They can stay downstairs if they wish, or head upstairs for the night, they choose where they want to be! My morning routine, is usually up nice and early to give them breakfast around 6am, with a walk about an hour later. If it's a work day, I give them toys and treats before I head off to work, but am home most days before 5pm, to them out! And then it's happy hour play time! Bathroom breaks and a mini walk before dinner, which usually gets served around 6pm. Some lounge time after dinner and another stroll outside and in the backyard before it's tv time, and then off to bed around 10pm!
