I am writing this testimonial to attest to John Staley’s magnificent dog sitting/walking and canine care abilities. John went above and beyond in his time staying with and caring for our year old, 11 pound Italian Greyhound named Goose. Not only did he follow Goose’s schedule and give her walks, treats and cuddles but he also took her with him on runs through the neighborhood and generated lots of amazing content for her instagram. Goose is a high energy breed who demands lots of attention and John was up for the task. John made sure Goose always had her puzzles set up, kongs loaded with peanut butter and played daily tug of war with her. He wiped her paws after walks, kept her safe from pigeons and skateboards and even learned the techniques he needed to take care of her luxated patella which causes some issues for her, from time to time. John and I met and chatted extensively to go over Goose’s needs prior to the 20 days we were set to be away and John even bought a book about Italian Greyhounds to familiarize himself even more with the breed. John kept us updated about Goose’s daily adventures, was quick to reach out with questions and made us feel at ease, being so far away from our pup for so long. When my partner and I returned home, our space was pristine, far cleaner than we left it, and we could tell Goose had developed a special bond with John. Not only is John good with dogs but he’s a trustworthy, honest and kindhearted person who anyone could trust in their space with their canine companions. I would recommend John for any short or long term dog-sitting job, dogs love him and people do too!
