15yr Pet Guru & Student ✌️🐕

Pet care experience

I'm a full-time pet sitter offering personalized care in a low-volume setting. Not 'visits every few hours', or 'activity/walk every few hours'- Not just that, of course they get that- but they are also essentially one of the pack when they're here! My day during a sit will be spent wholly with your pups at my side- Not too many kennels or dog hotels that can guaranty that. A lot of dogs just need a comfy, quiet place to nap and not be bothered while they wait for their human to come pick them up, and if they want a want a friend, I can be their best buddy too. I have a few kong toys and dog tennis balls, but if they have a favorite at your place, you are welcome to bring anything you feel would like to make your dog feel comfortable. Toys, a blanket, a bed, a particular set of dishes or treats, let me know. A 'doggie bag' for any loose items is also encouraged, but not necessary. As an online student, I'm home full-time, ensuring your pets get the attention they need. ‐------------ I've always had a deep love for all animals, big or small. I share my home with two small dogs and a three-legged cat who are my world. My calm demeanor tends to put animals at ease, making me a great choice for pets of all temperaments. On nice days we'll go for walks, and on blustery, rainy ones, we'll have fun inside regardless.

Zoey and Ogma seemed to have a great time with John over holidays. He was responsive and respected our instructions. Pups came back happy and healthy.

Information John R. would like to know about your pet

I would love for owners to state any established quirks, excitabilities, or odd/unique traits in their animal prior to booking a stay, it can be super helpful. Some examples: Is he/she sensitive around men? Is he/she sensitive around people who wear hats? Is he/she food sensitive? Allergies? Is he/she food aggressive? Do they need lots of active time, or are they lap dogs just looking for love? Are they weird about any particular interactions that could occur while petting them, feeding them, their interactions with me or my pets? Do they get agitated when being overstimulated by normal outside stimuli? (a neighbor dog barking once or twice, lawn mowers, etc.) A reactive prey drive? Shots and vaccinations? All of these 'can' be important, though not necessarily all at one time, or many for all cases. I have two very small dogs, and a 3 legged cat, and they mean the world to me. Their and your pup's safety is of the top importance while they're here. My yorkie is a senior, my chihuahua basically a pillow for my lap, and my cat is aloof. For first time clients, here is a code to save 20$ on your first booking with me! JOHNC65210, https://www.rover.com/sit/johnc65210

A typical day

I generally take the dogs to one of the many local parks just a mile or so down the road. If the weather isn't nice, I make sure they enjoy their day off inside, with multiple trips outside to my fenced in back yard, and my small allotment of toys, or ones their owners brought. Whether it's a trip to a local park or playtime in my fenced yard, your pet's day will be filled with fun and activity
