I have been dog-sitting and dog-walking for friends and coworkers for over 25 years. For the longest time, I could not justify having a dog but during the pandemic, an unhoused individual approached me in a Safeway parking lot with a 3-month-old puppy in her coat. She said she couldn't take care of him and asked if I could take him from her. I was at a point where I could raise a puppy so I took him and named him Angel. During the pandemic, having Angel's unconditional love gave me the purpose that I truly needed in my life at that time. He is well-socialized to hanging out with other dogs.

I am familiar with the usual methods of flea and tick abatement treatments. I feed my dog once a day but can adjust according to your pet's needs. I walk an average of 4 miles a day with my dog and can provide the same walking schedule if need be. Our home allows dogs to roam free and offers fenced yards in the front and back.

Since I live in a house with neighbors close by, it’s difficult to accept frequent or loud barkers. I expect my guest dogs to have all their current vaccinations and to be flea and tick-free (oral flea medication preferred).
A typical day
We will go to the dog park and interact with other dogs if they are social that way. If they prefer one-on-one time I can work with that as well. Since I walk an average of 4 miles a day with my dog, you could expect the same walking schedule.

Between myself and my roommate, who has two dogs of his own, we are available 7 days a week. At our spacious home, dogs have free rein.
