Experienced with all breeds & sizes

Pet care experience

I’ve been born into a family of farmers where the needs and priorities of animals were always on top of the list. I have years of experience with Giant dog breeds such as the African Boerboel, Rhodesian Ridgebacks and smaller breeds like Jack Russels. My approach and demeanor toward animals made friends, neighbors and family put their trust in me to take care of their pets. I have also been fortunate enough to raise some wildlife as well. I am currently available according to schedule which is rather flexible to tend to whatever your best friend’s needs might be. I can board everyday of the week, although space can only allow one dog at a time. I live in a apartment next to the Capital Crescent trail on Bethesda Row which is great for longer dog walks and a pet friendly environment. I welcome all dog breeds since I have an English bulldog of my own which is super easy going with other dogs. I can crate if it is your preference.

John-Henry took excellent care of our big lab. We were so happy to have him helping us out while on vacation and our pup was happy too.

Great care taken to our dogs while we were away. John-Henry sent updates throughout the day, was easy to communicate with, and our dogs were happy!

Availability

I am currently working part-time, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups! I’m available for boarding on weekends and weekdays after 2:30pm. I know dog needs and situations are unique so let’s discuss what you’re looking for, please contact me and we can discuss what care would be the best for your pup/s. Please make sure that you select the right rates for the correct age of your pup/s as well as dates, holiday rates for weekends with federal holidays and puppy rates for dogs younger than 1.5 years of age. I also reserve the right to charge extra but are not limited to: House sitting, boarding & drop in visits: where dogs need extensive presence, special care such as medication, physical assistance or anything that might fall in the special care category. Dog walking: Leash reactive & aggressive dogs get charged at a higher rate of $40 per 30min walk. House sitting includes and overnight stay 10-12 hours with one drop in visit and one walk. Additional walks can be added onto the booking at a discounted price of $15. Modification to bookings will be if necessary after the meet & greet when both parties agreed to it.
