Pet care experience
I am very active and have no problem taking your dog on a run, on a long 4 mile walk/hike or to the dog park. I am now required to go into the office Tuesdays-Thursdays. Fridays-Mondays I can work from home easily. I will let you know in advance if I will need to be in the office. Even when I do have to be in the office, I can stop home for lunch and potty breaks. I have a small house near BSU with a fenced backyard. Unfortunately my senior dog, Oscar, passed away in September 2023. I had taken care of him for 14 years. He had skin allergies so I have experience with administering medication, adhering to special diets and applying prescribed ointments and mousse.

I've asked Rover services multiple times, but he was definitely the best :) when I visit Boise again, I would would love to ask him!! Thank you so much! :)
John was a 10/10 sitter. Kept us updated, sent photos, extremely responsive and kept the girls active while we were out of town. Would recommend to anyone.
John was amazing with our dog. He took exceptional care of her and sent us great updates & pictures during his time with her. He took our dog on lots of walks and she came home looking like she had the time of her life! We are so grateful for John and will definitely be using him for future dog sitting needs.

Pets that stay in my home are separated when fed because this seems to be the time when they become the most aggressive.. FOOD!! If multiple dogs are staying with me from different owners, I like for them to be introduced to each other at my house beforehand, especially if I've never had them over in the past.

A typical day
I love to hike and run in the foothills and I run at least 4 miles on the greenbelt almost daily. I live just south of BSU and the neighborhood is very walkable and dog friendly.

Availability
When I have pets over, we usually walk at least 2x a day: quick walk in the morning and longer one later in the afternoon, depending on my work schedule. I like to stay active so having pets over keeps both of us in shape.
