Pet care experience
I have been a recreational dog walker and dog sitter for the past 5 years and have been a dog owner for the past 9 years. I have also received training from the Animal Rescue Foundation on basic dog training and proper dog care. I am patient with all varieties of dogs and I am comfortable handling dogs who can be more of a handful. I particularly enjoy walking dogs in Redwood Regional Park in the Oakland Hills where the dogs can do some exploring. I have found that these trails are dog friendly and a great way to get the dogs some good exercise. I just graduated college so I have a flexible schedule and I look forward to getting to know your dog!

John did a great job with our two puppies, Luli and Percy. John not only cared for the dogs, but was able to take care of our cat and looked after the house while we were away for a few days. He is easy to communicate with and goes above and beyond regarding service, even accepting packages for us when we are not home. An all around great experience, and we will be booking with John again!
I don;t know if I've met somebody who is more passionate about dogs than John! I would have no hesitation to leave my dog for a weekend with John, let alone for a couple of hours a day. I have seen him interact with his own dog (small-medium mixed breed) my dog (medium sized pitbull mix) and large dogs with full comfort and control. He has the rare characteristic of knowing that all dogs will need different levels of attention, care, and control.
John is an excellent companion for any dog! His own dog is well loved and John genuinely enjoys spending time caring for and playing with him. John is a responsible pet caretaker and has dog sat my Australian Shepherd on numerous occasions. I would recommend John for anyone who needs a dog sitter.
I have had John house sit for my dogs in the past and his service was exemplary. He got along with all of our animals and followed our directions perfectly. I always felt safe leaving my two dogs and two cats with him for our out of town trips. He is a good communicator and gets along with very well with animals.
