Large safe home/yard, here to help!

Pet care experience

I grew up in houses with dogs. I spent many years with only cats before I finally got another dog (5 years ago). I recently find myself with more time on my hands and missing a furry walking companion. I work full time from home with the possibility of commuting to the office. In my area, I can stop in for a walk or a pet check almost any time. My home is part time occupied with two boys, 15 and 16 years old (dog lovers) and a very playful, friendly black lab mix (lovey dog). Two story house with patio door access to large fenced in back yard. House is pet safe.

John had a great weekend with Duncan. He took him on walks early in the morning before the June heat kicked in and also played with him. He definitely is comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. We will be using John again for boarding in the future!

John D. was awesome! Buddy loved his time with John and got plenty of exercise and fun. Updates with photos sent from John relived any worries I had about leaving Buddy in his care. Highly recommend!

Information John D. would like to know about your pet

I love them all, but labs and mixes have a special place in my heart. I'd like to know if there is separation anxiety. Are doorbells evil (general consensus is yes)? I really _need_ to know if there are issues with other dogs. Any quirks? Are there accidents when meeting new people? Over protective feeding?

A typical day

I walk almost every day and there is no such thing as too many walks. I typically walk around my neighborhood, but live close to Riverside Park for particularly beautiful days. Back yard chasing or fetching or even just running and sniffing have proven to be popular. Couch snuggles are a good way to pass the time. If we're trusting and in a good behavior mood, a trip to the hardware store to socialize a bit can be fun.
