My wife and I recently lost our beautiful 13.5 year old yellow Lab Annika, a retired service dog for a blind woman. We adopted Annika when she was forced to retire due to her age (Guide Dogs for the Blind would be a reference if requested). We gave Annika the best retirement and most love she could ever have had during the 2+ years we had her. We also cared for my parents black lab Casey for several years after my parents passed. Currently I regularly care for my sister-in-laws dogs and cats whenever they request. I love walking dogs no matter what the weather and truly enjoy their companionship. We also have 2 cats we adopted. We are currently on waiting list for adopting another retired service dog hoping we get another opportunity to provide a great well-deserved retirement!
