Calm, loving, human honoured to care for your dog.

Pet care experience

Hi, I lost my Ruby a few years ago due to an old age illness but I cant commit the next 15 years+ for another dog atm which leaves a big dog shaped gap in my life. I've been a volunteer emergency foster carer for Assisi and Dogs lost and found N.Ireland in the past. I'm based on the Lisburn road, Belfast with a powerful ebike so can service with 3 miles easy enough. I highly recommend we go for a getting to know you walk for free of course 😉. I'm open to walks, drop offs, pick ups,day care, short to longer stays if you need a break/holiday. Working from home I'm time rich so 24/7 care is standard and a very much like to take my dogs with me where ever I go out if the dog enjoys that kind of interaction. I live super close to Botanic Gardens for walks and have another enclosed dog walking park 400m away from me. My motivation is the rewarding love of dogs and to support owners so they can enjoy their holidays knowing John is giving their furry family member the best holiday he can. Please feel free to contact me by text for a chat and to ask me any questions. John

We cannot praise John highly enough! Not only is he so knowledgeable about dogs and their behaviour, but he was endlessly kind and loving to our massive and affectionate goldendoodle. He took such good care of our dog and communicated daily with us about how our fella was getting on. John goes above and beyond! He really cares about dogs feeling at home and cared for properly. We knew our dog was in great hands and even thought he wouldn’t want to leave when we came to pick him up! Don’t hesitate to use John for your pet! He will take such good care of them and love them as much as you do.

John is an absolute legend! I was very anxious about leaving Arthur for the first time with a professional dog sitter. However John made me feel at ease, kept me updated with his progress and pup updates. I have no issues using John and his dedicated and enthusiastic approach to looking after my prized Arthur

John is a wonderful sitter, he looked after my little dog like he was his own. Took great interest in learning all about his needs and likes/dislikes. John recommended a meet and greet beforehand, where it was clear my little dog felt safe and happy in John's company. My dog had lots of fun, walks and cuddles during his stay. I would highly recommend John and will definitely contact him again next time I need a sitter.

Safety, trust & environment

I very much believe a calm, dominant, loving owner creates a calm submissive happy dog. To that end ever dog is treated like family with guidance catering for any special needs and ways eg food, needing a quiet place to go, sensitivities etc. I leave all the doors open and have moved the furniture so there is doggy feng shui if that's a thing !

Information John d. would like to know about your pet

I'm happy to take on dogs with special needs but due to the fact I've neighbours who are noise sensitive very vocal dogs could be an issue.

A typical day

Like to find what excites each different dog so food wrapped in towels to challenge them, scent hunts around the flat for a treat, build little step for dogs do they can look out of the window, hanging toys from ceiling for some games, enclosed dog park if I've got a good rapport with the dog, great long and short routes through and around Botanic gardens. I also have a powerful ebike if you have a dog that needs some serious miles to run!
