John is absolutely phenomenal with dogs. He's so good, in fact, he is affectionately known all over the neighborhood as "The Dog Whisperer." My dog, Etta James, simply adored him. Every time I came by with Etta, he would get down on her level, roll around and play with her, pet her, give her treats, and just generally give her the kind of attention that guaranteed she would be his fan for life. I have never seen Etta respond to another person the way she responded to John, and likewise, I have never seen another person pay such time and attention to her, in such a special way. I cannot recommend John enough. It warms my heart to see the mutual affection and love he and Etta James have for each other. I trust him completely to take care of her, and I feel lucky to have such a kind and gentle person to love my dog.

I adopted my rescue dog about 3 years ago and he was a very shy, scared little guy (10# chihuahua/terrier mix). When he and John first met, John did all the right things... approached slowly, offered a hand to sniff, spoke softly, wasn't overly direct, etc. My dog, Charlie, wanted nothing to do with John. Charlie sat in my lap growling and shaking. John then proceeded to lay down on the ground and continued to speak softly to Charlie. After a few minutes, Charlie jumped down and started to give John the "sniff test". After a few more minutes, Charlie and John were friends. Fast forward 3 years... John is now Charlie's best human friend. Charlie can hardly contain his excitement every time he sees John. I feel John definitely had a positive impact helping my scared little dog transform into the social butterfly he is today. Thank you, John!
