I can accommodate any walking schedule. I live in an elevator apartment, so no one needs to walk up steps if they can't (or don't want to!). I have a small to medium sized dog bed and a crate, and if a smaller pup wants to sleep on my bed with me, that's cool, too.

I do have an 11 year old dog-loving boy in the home, so if your little friend is wary around kids, we might not be the best match.
A typical day
I live not too far from Central Park, and very close to a cul-de-sac at the end of East 72nd where dogs love to walk. I can happily go outside with a high-energy pooch, and if they are a more snuggly dog, they can sit next to me while I work or (let's be honest) play video games on my couch.

I grew up with dogs, so I have a lifetime of experience. For the last 12 years I was lucky enough to live with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel here in Manhattan, so I also have over a decade of NYC-specific dog experience.

John took such good care of our pup Iroh for his overnight stay! He was super responsive and flexible with drop off/pick up times. Most importantly I could tell that he and his family made Iroh feel comfortable and safe. I felt very much at ease leaving Iroh with John and can’t recommend him enough!
John watched Mugs for a little over 2 weeks and took excellent care of him. John sent me frequent updates, was flexible with pick up and drop off, and I felt at ease the entire time that Mugs was taken good care of. I highly recommend booking with John.
John is caring, reliable, and super responsive. What more can I say? Our terrier has been in very good hands with him--for two separate overnights as well as a seven-day stay.
