Greetings! I am Jo, I just recently moved back here from Massachusetts; I grew up in KC Metro (Go Chiefs & Jayhawks YAY!) I went away for college in east coast about 10 years ago, and finally I am back! However, I am eager to meet new dogs and find new friends for my sweetheart boy! I have 6 years old lab mixed Boomer & three cats, we have a house with fenced in backyard and waddle pool to cool off during summer. I worked as a professional dog walker back in East coast under different company. I am open to all sort of commitments, I usually respond fast. I make every effort ensure every client is happy with my services. I'm used to handle different size and breeds- although I absolutely love large and extra large dogs, so Boomer do too! My experience administering medication is at moderate level, although I am not afraid to learn new challenges.

Jo has been the biggest blessing for me and my dog, Olive (as well as Boomer and Ash!) They have been like second parents to my pupper, picking her up for me and being super amenable to my long hours. They take Olive to dog parks, on hikes and all kinds of adventures. They Even took her to treats unleashed and Starbucks for her birthday! There’s nothing better than knowing that your dog is in wonderful hands when you can’t be with them and I couldn’t recommend Jo enough. They have become a regular part of my routine and I consider them friends. I am so grateful I found her
We left our 5 year old Boston Terrier, Riley, with Johanna over the Thanksgiving 2019 holiday (Wed - Sun). We were a little anxious using Rover.com for the first time, yet had a wonderful experience with Johanna, the lady who kept our dog for us. We had a home visit with her a couple of days before dropping him off to ensure our dog got along with her dog Boomer and two cats. Our dogs got along fine and the cats stayed out of his way. Johanna sent us pictures of our dog daily and kept us updated on his progress and his activities. We took his day bed, food and sleeping cage (although she said he ended up cuddling in bed with them most nights - he is spoiled like that). He appears to have had a lot of fun staying with her, Boomer and playing in their fenced backyard. She was great!
Johanna helped me out at the last minute when I forgot to arrange pet care for a short visit we were taking out of town. Just the fact she was available and willing on short notice was a huge help to me. We did experience some communication problems and check-ins weren't as regular as I like. Some of that was the Rover site which did not send a text with an email. Other than that, everything was fine.

The size of backyard is huge enough for the dogs to run around with plenty of trees to keep the dogs cool under the shade. My housemate have other 2 elder dogs-- able to get along with other animals. My dog, Boomer, love to make new friends! No breed preferences.
