Johann was amazing! Took amazing care of my anxious rescue hound Mix (Remy!) he sent me daily texts and pictures! Remy loved staying with him! We will definitely book again! He also respected Remy space and slow pace and gave him his daily medication! And walks even snuggle with him through a thunderstorm (Remy hates ⚡)

Our main issue with Johann was the lack of communication. Without me prompting, I only received one update text for Tofu. Others were only sent in response to me asking for updates. Our boarding was from Friday at noon to Monday at noon. After Saturday at 9 pm we did not receive any communication until we attempted to pick our dog up Monday morning. Johann said he was sick Sunday and that’s why he didn’t send an update which I think is unacceptable. As a caretaker, if he was so ill he could not give an update this means he was too ill to provide the necessary care for our dog. We understand emergencies happen, but would have thought if this was the case our emergency contact should have been contacted for assistance. We don’t know the level of care our dog received Sunday at all. When we tried to pick up Monday, we had been messaging and calling through Rover nonstop to try to pick up a little earlier with no response. With no other choice and having not had any communication since Saturday night, we had to call the emergency hotline. Thankfully after 30 min of waiting outside the building someone let us in and we started knocking on Johann’s door. After another 10-15 min Johann finally texted that he would let us in. This was 11 am which at that point I asked if our dog had gone outside to pee or on a walk and the answer was no. I am very disappointed in the lack of communication and care displayed by Johann.
