Availability
I work full-time and have a pretty flexible hybrid schedule. Most of my weeks are 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home and these days can be moved around as needed - especially to accommodate house sitting requests! While my work from home days change from week to week, I usually try to work from home on Thursdays and Fridays. For Mondays-Wednesdays when I am in the office I typically have the following availability (with some flexibility): Before 8:00am 12:00-1:00pm After 4:00pm If you feel like I would be a good fit for you and your pets but aren't sure if the schedules would line up well, please reach out! I am happy to switch my in-the-office days with work-from-home days if needed :)

My goal while your pet is in my care is to create a relaxing and stress-free environment for them. I prefer to care for animals in their own home so that they are in an environment they are familiar with while also being surrounded by their favorite toys/things. I’m also big on routine and positive reinforcement! In my opinion, following the same routine as normal helps reduce stress on your pet while you’re away and I’m more than happy to recreate those routines for them.

I greatly appreciate when pet owners share the following about their pets: - general energy level - reaction to new people - reaction to other dogs both inside and outside the home - feeding schedule - potty schedule - medication schedule (if they have any) - location(s) of all of their supplies - if they are or are not allowed on furniture - favorite toy - favorite place to hang out/things to do - anything you know they do not like (food, human behaviors, etc.) Anything additional you can share is also much appreciated, the more I know the better I can care for your pet! :)
A typical day
Everything we do is up to you! If your pet is big on play time or needs it to help tire them out, I'm happy to play for as long as they need. If your pet(s) aren't big on play, they'll get plenty of pets and attention while we catch up on the latest season of Love is Blind together. If you’d prefer I do some training of basic (or not so basic) commands, a nice long walk, or a visit to the dog park just let me know!

Hi! My name is Joelle and I live and work in Wilmington, DE. My partner and I currently have four cats and a beagle/corgi mix! I’ve been pet-sitting dogs and cats for family, friends, neighbors and Rover clients for over 14 years and can’t imagine doing anything else with my free time! I am able to care for and have previous experience with up to 6 animals at a time. I'm currently offering drop-in care, dog walking, and house sitting services. References are available for anyone that is interested and I’d be happy to discuss making adjustments to the services/schedules I have listed if they don't match you or your pet’s specific needs.

Our two minis had the pleasure of walking with Joelle today. She is so great with each of them. We never doubt she will deliver good service and trust her completely.
My dogs and I had a wonderful experience with Joelle on her first stay. I appreciated the communication, pictures, and updates, as well as the offer to send more or less. My dogs looked for her after greeting me and checked the guest room this morning after breakfast, just to be sure. I recommend her 10/10.
We have used Joelle multiple times to care for our cats, and she is reliable and gives detailed updates (and great pics!). Highly recommend.
Joelle did a great job staying with our dog and two cats. She was on time, communicative, and a great caretaker. We will definitely rebook!
