Pet care experience
Dogs have always been part of my life. My wife and I long ago decided our family wasn’t complete without a big goofy dog (or two) in it. Our cat is great friends with our dogs. We have got two active boys to play with as well. We both have flexibility work that means that at least one of us is always home. Also our kids come home at 3 and are responsible for care as well. Dogs are family. They are an integral part of our family life. We love taking our dog Dug and Kira, to Shirlington dog park for long romps.

Joel and his family are great with Scooby! They bring him outside to explore, take care of him during thunderstorms, and help him up and down the stairs. They also send regular updates. We will definitely be booking Joel again in the future!
Joel & family have been wonderful hosts and a home away from home for our pet. We felt reassured & regularly updated on our dog’s status, affording us a trip with one less worry! Thank you Joel :)
Our Muffin had a wonderful stay at Joel’s. Joel sent us fun pictures to assure that our dog is doing good. He gave very prompt responses when I had questions. Definitely we want to revisit him. ??

Please let me know if you have any important house rules we should keep up with while you are gone. Dug and Kira are allowed on the bed and furniture and so would your pup if you are ok with that
A typical day
Dug, Kira and I will keep your friend entertained. He is a 8 year old rescue that is well socialized to dogs of all sizes. Kira’s is a young and playful pup. We will take walks and if you approve go to the dog park. We have two active boys (12 and 14) to help keep the energy level up.

My wife and I work from home opposite days of the week. Your dog should never be alone for more than a couple of hours at a time if we go out for dinner or something like that.
