I had high hopes but I’m really disappointed in how irresponsible Joel was during his time caring for Hazel. Joel said he didn’t have experience with cats so we met and I walked him through my routine. It was simple but Joel either didn’t listen or he didn’t retain the information. Let’s face it, cats aren’t in need of the same type of care as dogs. The only reason I hired Joel was so he could check on and play with my cat, plus clean the litter box. He was hired to stay for 30 minutes of play time. Joel didn’t use any of Hazel’s cat toys, and mostly ignored her while he paced, sipped soda and walked around the house while on his phone. When he cleaned the litter box (a process I’d walked him through) instead of removing the lid he placed the scoop container on top of the box and made a huge mess that he left for me to clean. He was also a no-show, no-call on Friday and didn’t say anything until I called him on it. Only then did he say he had car trouble. I also had to request a return of that day’s fees, although it would have been nice if he’d offered. Nothing like coming home to a lonely cat and then having to clean up loads of litter. Never again
