You dog will be let out in our fenced-in back yard many times per day. Husband LOVES dogs, wife home most every day. Kids and cats also in house. You're on this site because you're looking for more attention and more human contact than a kennel. We will absolutely give your dog lots of attention. We go on vacation too, and know the value of great pet-sitters! About this sitter: I will go on a walk, play in the yard, play fetch with your buddy, and spend time with him. I'm NOT looking for multiple customers and maximum pay, I'm only wanting to slightly up my income, and more than anything, help others find a great sitter and relieve the stress of worrying about it: We have had trouble finding someone when WE went on vacation. I've grown up with dogs, have two now, and really like to play with them! Why I love dog sitting My family has always had dogs, since I was 2, and they've always been a full-fledged member of the family. When my first dog, Freckles, was finally put down after 17yrs, it hurt. Losing a pet is very painful. Meet my pets We have cats, too. If you're dog isn't good with cats, we're not for you. About my yard Sides have 6ft privacy fence, back has chainlink. My small fruit trees are cordoned off. Dogs love sniffing about the shed and minibarn, looking for evidence of the resident chipmunks or rabbits. Large concrete patio provides cool shade, if the sun's up high. Otherwise the house and fences provide spots to get comfortable in shadows. My experience administering medication Our cat gets 2 insulin injections per day. I've many times given cats and dogs pills. Wife leaves it up to me (just like clipping pets' nails, she can't handle it but I have no problem with it).

Melissa exceeded our expectations And our expectations are high which is why we don’t use these services very often Melissa not only was excellent with our 3 Newfies, but her children played with the girls and they loved it She kept in touch with us with many pictures so we could enjoy our weekend knowing our dogs were being well cared for Plus she has experience with giving meds, which was great because teo of our girls needed them We are very happy and look forward to Melissa and her family to housesitting again!

A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Our neighborhood is about 65yrs old, with lots of other dogs. Kids ride bikes on our walk, as streets aren't busy. We can access TownOfPlainfield's walk trial a few blocks away. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Our two sleep either on, or beside, our bed most nights. Sometimes they stay in the living room, near the sliding glass door so they can't possibly miss being let out first thing in the morning! We have a crate that they sometimes hunker down in for a bit. If yours kennels at night we can do that in ours, or you can bring yours if he's used to the comfort/protection of his "cave." Time I'll spend with your dog Pets are part of our family. We go on probably 4 family walks per week, around the neighborhood. We play every day in the fenced-in back yard. I love on/wrestle with my dogs every morning before getting ready for work. My kids are very good about letting dogs out many times during the day, or playing in the yard while they just spend lazy time outside if it's not too hot.
