Hi there! My name is Joel and in the photo is my 10 y/o boxer Cruz who adopted me through Middle Tennessee Boxer Rescue nearly 3 years ago! Unfortunately Cruz will not be joining us on our walks, he gets a little grumpy when he has to share me, but in our free time we both love exploring new trails and going on adventure hikes (one of our favorite places is the Iroquois Steeplechase at Percy Warner!) While I've grown up with large dogs including German shepherds, dobermans, huskies and more, I've worked with nearly all breeds while I worked in doggy daycares for over 4 years. My professional experience was through The Farm at Natchez Trace in Franklin,TN and Canines Unleashed in Liverpool, NY, both of which are wonderful facilities. I've attended pack behavioral training, administered medicines and special diets to a variety of breeds and also special needs, caring for blind, deaf, handicap and narcoleptic dogs. I'm a freelance visual artist with a very flexible schedule and active lifestyle with a love for riding BMX and traveling. On any given day I can be found creating art in my home studio, learning to cook, volunteering with local art organizations and spending time outside. I'll be a great fit for whatever your best friend's needs are!
