My name is Joe, I'm 43, and I'm dedicated full time to dog care. I'm fully licensed by the state of PA, with a verified inspection twice a year by the Pennsylvania State Dog Warden. I was a research assistant at CMU for 14 years, but our project ended in 2014. I started doing independent dog care as a part time job and it's grown into a full time business. I stay home most of the time to take care of the dogs and give them attention throughout the day. Since joining Rover, I've hosted many different dogs of all ages and sizes, and I'm one of the highest rated sitters available. I truly feel like I provide the best pet care available around Pittsburgh, and I think my clients would agree! I have a large fenced in backyard with secure gates and fences in a great neighborhood. It has other yards on either side and is fully enclosed. There's plenty of space, trees, grass, patio etc! I have experience administering medication and handling dogs with special needs. I've hosted timid dogs that require socializing. They always come back for more! I have younger, active dogs and senior dogs as well. Many of my canine clients are regulars and have been coming for years. The dogs all get to know one another and have a great time having their own little vacations together. I can manage small and large dogs together, and help with socializing and separation anxiety. During the week I go out to walk dogs around the area between 11:30 - 1:30. Otherwise I'm home throughout the day and evening. Drop off and pick ups are generally scheduled before 11 and after 2.
