Pet care experience
My first dog in my family was a Great Pyrenees named Isis. While I'm certain other people would have preferred a breed that wasn't so independent, I wouldn't have had it any other way. 6 years later, we rescued a second Great Pyrenees, Blizzard. This dog was subjected to much neglect, so much so that his dewclaws had grown into his footpads when he was surrendered. Our family was more than happy to take him in, and with much love and patience, he experienced an incredibly happy and boisterous latter half of his life. While I haven't been able to have a dog of my own at my apartment, I've enjoyed taking care of other people's pets, especially dogs. I've loved dogs for many years, and I've found that dogs respond to me in a positive way. I'm a patient person that's worked and grown up, and helped to take care of many types of animals. But I've loved dogs the most. I've had some of the most meaningful animal relationships with dogs.

Joe is a natural animal lover! I have known him to have many different pets (dogs, cats, birds etc.) his entire life. He is responsible, and your pet would be a priority if under his care. As the mom of two cats, I would be at ease knowing Joe was caring for them while I was away. I would certainly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter!

Feeding times, dog habits, what environment your dog is used to when you're in the home. In addition to medical needs and vet information, anything you do to make your dog calm and comfortable is helpful to me. Dogs love routines and consistency. Anything I can do to maintain that consistency will put a dog who isn't used to their owner being away will make the experience that much more bearable! While most of my experience is with large breeds, I don't have a particular preference. I get along great with all types of dogs and love the variety of dog personalities I've encountered over the years. While I don't have experience with all types of meds, I am certainly willing to learn.
A typical day
I always love exploring new places, and if I'm walking your dog, I'd probably ask you. It's different for different dogs. For retriever breeds, fetching with their favorite toy at the Ferguson dog park would be a great activity. Others want to socialize with other dogs. Other dogs simply love to get tuckered out on a nice long trail walk by Griffy Lake.
