Pet care experience
Neutered, leash-trained dogs, 60 pounds and under, are the best fit. My wife and I are life-long dog owners, trainers and lovers. We host one dog at a time. Our Aussie, Huck, is an experienced and friendly host. The yard is fenced, there's a dog door, and a handy window for watching the neighborhood. We enjoy hosting and caring for social dogs, and help them feel part of the pack while you're away. There’s walking, running and playing catch, and car rides for those who like them. We have a large indoor kennel/crate for visiting dogs who like that, a doggie pool for hot weather, and a playgroup of other friendly dogs for those who like to socialize.

Joe and Jean were great. Super friendly and kind, kept us updated, and they have such a cute house. Our pup Juniper came home happy and healthy. Would absolutely go back to them.
Riley had an amazing stay with Jean, Joe and their sweet dog Huck! They went on good long walks at the park, looked for squirrels, and had some relaxation time on the couch. Jean was great at sharing daily updates with photos and videos... zoomies at the park. Riley had the best of care!

The best thing is to meet beforehand, introduce the dogs and talk about what will make it a great stay for your best friend. We’re looking for dogs from households similar to ours, so they’ll feel at home.
A typical day
They'll be part of the family. We like to take our dogs on car rides, walks and hikes, to the water or with us to outdoor events, if that's the sort of thing they like. If they like to snooze in the shade or by the fire, that's fine with us too. Everyone beds down in our room with us, at the end of the day.

Joe is home all day every other week. Jean’s office is nearby and she comes home for lunch and dog walks on the weekdays that Joe’s not home.
