Welcome! A little about me: As a fitness enthusiast with a Ph.D. in Biology, I am the owner and operator of The K9 Care Company (Est. 2018). At The K9 Care Company we provide dog walking and home-style boarding, as well as general pet services for other animals. I also offer a lock-out service, named KeyBOSS (KeyBOSS.ca). I have been around dogs my entire life, and have experienced an array of breeds, sizes, and personalities. In 2018, my wife and I found ourselves without a dog of our own for the first time. Longing for the company of a canine companion, it was with great excitement and enthusiasm we started The K9 Care Company. Our objective is to provide safe care and home-style comfort for the beloved dogs of other families. What started as a side project has become a full-time passion and commitment. I have experience training, handling, and raising puppies to adulthood and am a strong proponent of positive reinforcement. Consistency is key when training, thus I will respect your training regimen. I am very patient, respectful, and cognizant of natural dog behaviour. As fitness enthusiast I enjoy being outside, and am fit and strong enough to handle dogs of any size. We have multiple large and beautiful parks and trails within walking distance of our residence that are quite popular with local dog owners. DOG WALKING: Our Top Priority is Safety! As dog lovers and experienced owners ourselves, we understand that your dog is a cherished member of your family, and we treat them as such. Your dog will never be taken off leash. (Unless specifically requested, and then only at designated City of Toronto off leash areas). Our vehicle is equipped with a secure barrier to ensure distraction-free driving, and is equipped with blankets, toys, and carpets to make your beloved canine's travel time safe, clean, comfortable, and enjoyable. DOG BOARDING: A Loving, Safe, Comfortable Environment No cages, no cold concrete, no isolation. For the duration of their stay your dog will be a member of our family and will stay with us in our home. All of our furniture is pet friendly! If your canine companion prefers a crate or has their own bed, please bring it, along with their favourite toys, blankets, and treats. We want your dog to be as comfortable as possible.

We have no breed preferences, all dogs are welcome. We do have a few questions to help us determine compatibility, and to provide an optimal experience for your canine companion: RE: Dog Boarding: 1. Is your dog generally friendly toward other dogs? 2. Can your dog left be alone for a few hours? 3. Is your dog "car-friendly"? (Note: at this time we are unable to take dogs with separation anxiety). RE: Dog Walking 1. Is your dog generally friendly toward other dogs? 2. Is your dog "car-friendly"? 3. Do you have a preference regarding private walks or group walks? 4. Would you prefer walks in the morning (9AM-11AM), midday (11AM-1PM), afternoon (1PM-3PM), or no preference (9AM-3PM)?
A typical day
We'll walk your dogs throughout local parks (E.g., Oriole Park, Mount Pleasant Cemetery), our neighborhood sub-division (Midtown: Davisville & Yonge), and trails (E.g., Beltline Trail).

My full time job is running The K9 Care Company. We are available for dog walking from 9:00AM to 3:00PM on weekdays, as well as the occasional weekend. Our boarding services are available most days of the year.
