Hi I'm Jodie- I offer around the clock care for my client's homes and pets. My schedule is open to fit what you works best for your pet's situtation. For overnight stays I will be able to spend a majority of the day keeping your fur babies company! History: Growing up on property in a small town, out in the country has given me extensive opportunities to work with all types of animals. I have raised chickens, geese, horses, goats, dogs, and cats. I have worked for many years with all breeds of dogs in training and obedience. I have most enjoyed training my German Shepherds in obedience and agility for competition. As a loving pet owner I understand how much your fur babies and home mean to your family- and of course, how you just couldn't live without them! I understand leaving our animals behind is hard; and trusting someone to care for them the way we would, is even more difficult. I am a full-time college student, who volunteers locally as a loving community member. I have a trustworthy record and strive always, for the best. Cant say enough positive things about Jodie! Was happily able to watch Brinley on a super last minute notice. Jodie was super friendly during the drop off & I instantly felt that my baby girl was in good hands. Sent me tons of cute pictures, kept me updated on how Brinley was doing, & took her for a walk to the park even! Was flexible with the pick up time as well. Definitely will be going to Jodie again in the future!! :)
I debated whether or not to write this review, because I don't like to casually affect someone else's livelihood. But I also love dogs and animals, so I decided I should share my experience. I had gone by Jodie's positive reviews in choosing her for in-home care for my two dogs, and I don't know if she has new circumstances in her life or what, but my experience was negative. I returned early from what was supposed to be a longer trip. My dogs were alive and seemed physically OK when I returned, which is the minimum I needed. But they were clearly disturbed and seemed fearful whenever there was any noise from outside our place, and it took them several days with just me at home to normalize. My female rescue dog, who it's taken me a year to gentle into trusting me, was shook and avoiding contact again. I had made the decision to come home early after learning from my neighbor that Jodie was having multiple guests over at my place, coming in late at night, and had at least one loud, cursing fight with a male visitor. I hope that this is the only reason my dogs were acting so oddly. They are used to a quiet, peaceful home. When we had a meet-and-greet about a month ago to arrange this stay, I had told Jodie I didn't mind if she needed to leave during the day for periods of time to check in at her own home and run errands or whatever she needed to do, just as long as she stayed with my dogs overnight. It didn't even occur to me to specify "no guests"-- I assumed that went without saying, and it certainly didn't occur to me to specify "no partying", but hey, lesson learned. It's too bad, because my prior experience with hiring a Rover dog sitter in another city was such a good one. I'll be more careful next time.
Jodie went above and beyond to take care of all of our cats - and our plants! This was our first time leaving our mixed gang behind and even though we had no reception she answered our emergency GPS communications checking in and when we got back into range I had a whole roll of photos to take the edge off of my separation anxiety. We came home to a clean house and happy cats. I would absolutely book with Jodie again!
Jodie did a great job taking care of our pups! You can tell she really cares about animals. She sent pictures and updates during our time away to let us know how they were doing. And she left the house spotless! We would definitely use her again in the future!
