I currently have two dogs, both are rescues: one is a female, approximately two and a half year old terrier mix, who weighs about 33 pounds; the other is a one year old male black lab mix, who weighs about 100 pounds. The terrier mix has a congenital liver condition, and I give her medicine 3 times a day, so I am very comfortable with administering meds to dogs. I previously had a golden retriever for 10 years and she died in June 2015. I have been a volunteer for Guiding Eyes for the Blind for over 10 years and several times a year we have puppies at out home and work to socialize them. I trained our golden retriever to be a therapy dog and took her on weekly visits to the New York Presbyterian hospital.
