As a member of As Good as Gold-Golden Retriever Rescue of Illinois for over 14 years (and previously on the Board of Directors) I've been rescuing and living with dogs for many years and am familiar with many aspects of training, health and grooming, medications, scheduled walks and am able to maintain the dogs' routines to keep them happy and relaxed. We have a large home with no restrictions for well behaved dogs with easy access sliding doors to the fenced back yard. We can use crates and gates if necessary. There is an overnight stay fee and also a day care rate. If your dog stays overnight and also spends the next day into late afternoon/evening there will be an overnight fee plus an additional day care rate. I've been a foster home and lived with senior and long term care dogs. We also have a 24 hour emergency veterinary clinic within 5 minutes of our house. We can create separate eating areas when there are multiple dogs and currently have one small Golden Retriever in our home who is very sweet and friendly. For the last 10 years I've also volunteered for a week at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah cleaning kennels, feeding and walking dogs and taking a dog home every night for a sleepover.
