Passionate dog trainer, bather!!
Pet care experience
Hi!! I’m Jocelyn, ! I am 24 years old and have been blessed to have dogs in my life since I could walk. I have experience working with dog trainers, training dogs, working at a dog “resort”, and currently I’m in the process of becoming a certified dog trainer. While I am not a vet, I am well rehearsed on dog health and know a few of the indicators on when it might be time to visit the vet due to plenty of personal experience with my own dogs. Outside of my work experience I’ve raised two well mannered and caring dogs (both still puppies in my heart🙂). I rescued Roxie when I was 19 and tackling my first year away from home, she was the sassiest little pitbull puppy who has turned into an even sassier dog. KB is my sweet covid puppy! Raising them into well trained dogs has been my biggest accomplishment! (although they prefer listening to dad over mom!) If you trust your dog with other dogs, let me know and it’ll be a party! I’m a former athlete and remain very active, I love to go on long walks, jogs, hikes, and can throw a ball further than most men! I bet your dog will agree🙂 If you have a younger, more energetic dog, and you give me/me and my dogs a chance to play with your pup, I can promise you that they will be coming home and quickly falling sleeping. I also do love to make home made dog treats and have several games, including enrichment toys that are designed to stimulate a dogs brain…did you know exercising their brain can leave them just as and sometimes even more tired than taking them for a walk? My marine vet boyfriend is available to run dogs for those who want their dogs ran! I truly cherish dogs and all animals, I can promise you that I will treat yours as if they were my own. Ask about my weekend, weekly, and monthly packages! I look forward to setting up a meet and greet with you 🙂 Currently I am only taking classes online! I’m home all day most days with my dogs. I stay active daily with them and would love to do the same with yours! I’ve spent the last year focusing on school, I’m fairly new to the area and have plenty of dog walking time on my hands. I put my dogs in crates whenever I leave for an extended period of time. I also have a large, closed in balcony that I’ll put them out on if it’s a nice cool day. I have several cameras positioned so I can do spot checks if I’m gone. I always keep them hydrated, and after a long walk on a hot day they like to lay down on a cooling pad I have for dogs. I am kinda “neurotic” as my boyfriend puts it when it comes to my dogs safety, so I can assure your dogs will be safe while in my care. I also love hearing how a normal day would look for you and your dog, I leave a note for my dog sitter anytime I use them 🙂
Reviews
Thanks Jocelyn. So …are we automatically booked for repeat Wednesday’s or so I have to enter each one as it comes?
Jocelyn is absolutely AMAZING! She is one of the few people we trust with our three Chihuahuas. We can tell they love her too by their excitement when they see her. It’s important to know your babies are in good hands when you cannot be around to take care of them. Jocelyn is always very responsive when we reach out to her, always tries to make herself available and is extremely reliable. She even sends us pictures of our babies which is so very sweet! We adore her and so go our pups!!
Jocelyn is a consistent and reliable animal lover who did an amazing job taking care of my dogs. She was always prompt and I knew I could count on her to take extra good care of my dogs. My dogs seemed to always be happy to see her and she seemed just as enthusiastic to see them. I highly recommend her services!
I was so thankful to have found Jocelyn on Rover.com. My dog has alway been super anxious and doggy daycare has never worked out. We needed something in our own home. Jocelyn is so wonderful with our dog and treats him like her own. The few times we have needed her at the last minute, she has always been there. I always know that my dog is in good hands with her. Thanks Rover.com!

Information Jocelyn P. would like to know about your pet
Eating habits, if the dog is aggressive or reactive (it is okay, for everyone’s safety i would just want to be aware, and do know I have experience with both aggressive, and non aggressive reactive dogs) any possible triggers, gender, health issues, favorite activities, medication and when to administer, etc.. no information could possibly be too much information
A typical day
I wake up around 6am with the dogs, get them fed and take them to the dog park in my apartment complex. Then depending on the day I might take them on a 2-3 mile jog down the canal trail, go on a lengthy hike in Washington crossing or Tyler state park. If they aren’t too tired I’ll usually take them to core creek to socialize in the late afternoon/evening when there’s a few more dogs and a little cooler, I personally prefer calmed settings over large dog parks. If the weather is not good, I have several enrichment toys (mind stimulating games to play) and I love taking them to the local pet store near me for a little treat.
