Pet care experience
Throughout college and graduate school I spent my free time dog sitting/walking because I was unable to support a puppy of my own. My fiancé, Ethan, and I recently relocated to the area and adopted our first puppy, Obi. I'm currently working part time, so we figured that continuing my dog sitting business would be a great way for Obi to meet friends in the area and for us to find a community of dog lovers! I have experience watching my parents four(!) small dogs and have been completing drop-in visits/walks for a handful of pups I’ve met on Rover over the past four years now. I’m experienced in house/pet sitting as well; I'm happy to host your pup in my home, as long as they get along with other dogs (specifically, my dog). All of the above experiences required regular feeding, medications, walks several times a day, and sticking to a routine laid out by the owner.

Jocelyn is an amazing caretaker for my 8 year old energetic pointer! My dog is quirky, smart and needs lots of structure and attention and Jocelyn did an amazing job with her. She also has meds she takes a few times a week which were not a problem either. The first time we met, Jocelyn asked all the questions you would think to help make the transition safe and enjoyable- she asked about routines, walking routes, morning/bedtime routines etc. Mostly though, she kept me up to date and I didn’t have to worry while my dog was being cared for. On top of it, she’s just an easy, responsible, flexible person.
We booked Jocelyn for a last minute dog walk and she made sure to be available and help us. She took our puppy on a long fun walk. Jocelyn is responsive, caring and very sweet. We will be booking her again definitely! ❣️ Thank you!!!

Whether it’s respecting boundaries, following through on the routine we’ve agreed upon, or ultimately just giving your pet the love they deserve, I promise to consistently do my best! I want you to feel safe and secure knowing your pup is in good, trustworthy hands. I love to update owners throughout the visit with pics of their (hopefully very happy) pups!

Let me know how your dog tolerates walking. Do they get along well with other dogs and people? Medications? Are there any special leashes/harnesses that they should wear out of the house? Crate-trained? Are they a barker? Potty-trained?
A typical day
Thanks to Obi, I'm walking 3-4x per day (always aiming for 10k steps), taking him on hikes 1-2x per week, and going to an open park near home to play fetch and train, so adding another energetic furry friend would only add to the fun! If you're comfortable with dog parks, I would gladly add this into our routine. Whatever your dog is used to, I will gladly replicate.

Availability
My schedules varies each week, but typically I am free all day Mondays and every afternoon. On the weekends my schedule is more flexible, so just let me know how I can help!
