Ever since I was a kid, I always had a fondness for pets, or just anything with fur or feathers. Years later, I've had my time with them all, from Pitbulls to Pomeranians to Maine Coons, and I think if the pets could rate me, I'd have a unanimous 5 stars. But beyond being versed with more everyday cats and dogs, I've spent time around guard dogs, barn cats, and animals that just plain old didn't like anyone besides their owner/family. Basically, there's very few animals I'm not able to make friends with, convince to follow me on a walk, or at least find mutual boundaries with. As for myself, I have an 8-year old black cat I've had since she was 6 weeks, and am always ruminating about the right time to bring a dog into my life. Concerning puppies, I've been around for many of my friend's dogs puppy stages, so I'm experienced with that youthful brand of chaos, as well as stifling their love for trying to eat absolutely anything and everything. Additionally, I worked at Petco in my college days, and was invited to participate in the dog training sessions, eventually being offered a position as a secondary trainer, so I'm familiar with how to discourage bad behaviors, how to reinforce positive ones, and how to generally maneuver untrained dogs.
