Hey there, San Francisco! João here 👋🏼 I've had dogs all my life and my love of animals inspired me to study veterinary nursing in college. I'm huge on animal welfare, and work like this does my heart wonders, as I hope my services do for you and yours! I've had plenty of experience fostering puppies/dogs, as well as with kittens/cats and other small animals if you are in need of help with them as well. Cee Cee and I have done some extensive training too! I also have experience and tons of patience with special needs animals, so medication, specific accommodations, etc. are not a problem! In fact, our little buddies that need a little extra help hold a particularly special place in my ❤️ In addition, I hold a certificate in dog CPR and first aid, as indicated in my pictures. Looking forward to making new friends with y'all!

João is an amazing dog walker! He has been walking our dog Yali for a couple months now. Our dog, Yali, can be tentative around strangers at first but João knew how to put him at ease and feel comfortable. He takes Yali on long and fun walks
Joao did such an amazing job with our cat Sterling. He was very friendly and sent us updates often, which I appreciate. He truly loves animals and I could tell that sterling was happy when we got home and well cared for. I would definitely hire him again!
João made me feel like he was taking care of his own fur baby. Gaga was more than well taken care of, she was cuddled, watched over and loved. I can’t express my gratitude enough for loving on my baby as well as he did. Thank you so much João. ?
João was a great sitter and took care to meet Woody before coming over to look after him. He clearly had a lot of knowledge about animals, and even had dachshunds like ours in the past, which made us feel even more comfortable leaving our little puppy with him! I would definitely have João come sit Woody again :)

My Cee Cee (See my profile photo) is my first foster/foster fail. The great pandemic of 2020 brought us together and, boy, what an unexpected gift! She is a perky but sweet and mellow little firecracker at 10 years old, 8 pounds, and she is happy to help me welcome your little ones 😁. She has a daybed, a she-shed (or crate, if you prefer), and she is kind enough to share her full size bed with me. And I'm sure she can make room for one more, if that's your thang! I have baby gates, pee pads, treats, grooming supplies, bathing supplies, a playpen, poop bags, extra bowls, and plenty more tools. Our room is spacious enough for a small dog up to 15 lbs. Mayyyyyyybe a tiny bit bigger. Let's talk 😉. Whatever your preferences, you can be assured that they will be followed to a T!

A typical day
Dynamic walks, dog park hangs, play with toys, watch TV, snack together (with approval!), sing, take naps, a hardy game of chase, massages, yoga, go shopping at the local mom and pop dog supply shops.

My current schedule is very flexible, with a few gigs here and there. Obviously, the more notice I have, the better. But if I can work with you, I most certainly will! I can be an early riser if needed, but generally I wake up around 8:00 a.m. these days. I mostly stay up pretty late, so there is that too.
