Pet care experience
I grew up on farms and have almost always had a dog and least 1 cat in the family. I’ve trained dogs to run beside bikes and rollerblades, successfully toilet trained a cat, and trained my wiener dog to use a litter box. I’ve cared for everything from newborn kittens to senior dogs in kidney failure. From hermit crabs & turtles to Guinea Pigs, I’ve pet and/or house sat for them all. For decades, neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and provide overnight care for their pets. I look forward to meeting you and helping you with your pet(s). Joanne was an absolute gem as our dog sitter! Watching over our three dogs, she provided us with constant updates and adorable pictures throughout our time away. Joanne was great with taking care of my dogs. She showed up on time, was attentive to their needs, played with them, took them out on long walks. Treated them as if they were her own. I would definitely recommend her!

I have a fenced in yard and enough space for your fur baby to be comfortable and happy while they await your return. I can accommodate kennel time and quiet time as needed or requested. Pets are allowed on the furniture, especially when it involves cuddle time. Your pets comfort and safety is my top priority.

Let me know if there's anything about your pet that I should be aware of, such as an aversion to young kids, certain sounds, or doesn't like sprinklers. Knowing how your dog could react to me when I enter the home when you're not there is also very important information. Anything that could potentially cause your doggo to become uncomfortable is important for me to be aware of.
A typical day
Your pet's comfort and well being is the most important thing to me. There's a strong possibility I'll arrive with treats (pre-approved by you if you prefer). I'll play fetch or keep away, whatever their favorite games or toys are. We'll check out the new scents in the neighborhood, maybe check out the dog park (with your consent), and of course, make sure they have enough water and food. I love walking the many trails here in SCV and with your consent and input as to the dogs abilities, we’ll go for a walk during each visit that’s tailored specifically for your pet.

Availability
I’m available day time, evenings, and weekends. My schedule is very flexible right now so I can accommodate a large range of needs. You tell me how you want your pet to be cared for. As their owner, you know them best. You and weather permitting, we’ll go for a walk that is tailored to your dogs specific needs and abilities. Play time will also be tailored to entertain and stimulate your pet so they’re physically tired, mentally tired, and happy after each visit.
