Pet care experience
Rover....its not just about dogs! All pets need care when you are not available to do it yourself. I've had dogs my entire adult life. I also have experience with cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, fish, turtles, chameleons, ponies and goats. At times I foster shelter dogs, and I care for all as if they are my own. I have a very large fenced yard to help keep dogs safe. I enjoy the outdoors, and walking, so dogs get plenty of exercise here. I have experience with caring for special needs pets. Dogs do not "stay" crated here unless that is what they(you) prefer, and only if its needed to keep them and/or others safe. Your dog MUST be able to be crated during their meals and overnight "if needed" for the safety of all pets here, including your own. I do have pets of my own so I will make sure everyone gets along, and they are all closely supervised. There is no "one rule fits all", each dog will be evaluated individually and with each other. PLENTY of play-time, and the dogs know when they are ready to rest. Couch potatoes are welcome too. I also have an outside kennel area to use if needed when they go outside. My schedule is very flexible. Pups and seniors welcome. Currently, I am not accepting requests for grooming services. If you want your pet to enjoy your vacation as much as you do, contact me.

As always, Obie had a great time at Joanne's house while we were on vacation. Trust her completely with my dog. She treats him like one of her own.
Our dog was well cared for while staying with Joanne. Our dog enjoyed playing with her dogs. We were able to enjoy our time away without worrying about our dog. She also sent us updates often. She’s a great sitter.
Toby was so excited to see Joanne he jumped all over the car when we turned the corner to her house.

Does your dog have a history of going over or under fences to escape. Does your dog respect gates in the house. Does your dog get along with other dogs, and cats. Is your dog a "chronic humper". Is it trained to walk on a leash, and crate trained. I need to be made aware of any "special needs" at the meet and greet. I need to know if the pet has "ANY" anxiety issues. Is your dog bothered by a vacuum cleaner, thunder or fireworks. Is your dog a counter surfer. I need to be aware of known issues so I know what to give extra attention to. I have no breed preference but dogs MUST be well socialized and get along with others.
A typical day
PLEASE read my ENTIRE profile BEFORE requesting a service. I am in Anderson Indiana. Every dog boarding here MUST be able to be crated for at least 2 hours without losing its mind and/or tearing stuff up. Your pet's Rover profile needs to be filled out completely. At this time I am not accepting dogs over 40 pounds that are less than 10 years old. If your dog is at least 1 year old, it must be spayed/neutered to stay here. I will not accept dogs of any age that use pee pads inside, they need to be trained(or in training) to potty outside. **When requesting boarding, be sure include the approximate drop-off/pick-up times within a 2 hour window. The day before your drop-off or pick-up you will need to let me know when to expect you within a 1 hour window.** Boarding rates are for a 24 hour stay. Daycare rates are for up to a 12 hour stay. Normal daycare drop-off/pick-up times are between 7 am and 7 pm, but I do try to be flexible if needed. Your pet MUST be up-to-date on vaccinations and a flea preventive treatment if staying here. Please bring proof of vaccinations including Bordetella to the scheduled meet and greet. I do not have "one size fits all" care or pricing. Contact me if you questions about you pet's individual needs or circumstances.

I am a stay-at-home dog mom. Dogs are rarely left alone here. Every dog gets frequent potty breaks and play time, and as much snooze time as wanted.
