I'm an animal lover who always greets and talks to every animal on my path. I absolutely love animals, their kind nature, loyalty, amiability. I have had cats growing up in Brazil (Persian and Himalayan) and for the past seven years, I've been adopted by my two sweet mixed dogs. They are small and medium sized and I also frequently visit my third love, my mother's talkative Siberian Husky. I started dogsitting about ten years ago and found in it a very gratifying job. I have a big yard, a doggie door, and a 6-foot fence all around my yard but one of my pups does not like bigger dogs nor younger, energetic dogs, so I'd rather dogsit at the clients' homes or board small pets (up to 20 lbs). They are used to cats since I watch my mom's cat at my home when she goes on vacation. I take very good care of my clients' animals, as if they were mine. I am available full-time and I will clean after them, play, feed, walk, go on hikes, and keep them happy and entertained. An impeccably attentive, compassionate, responsible, communicative Dog-sitter and human being, Joanne receives an A+++ for her wonderful care of our shy little rescue dog, Lucy. Lucy has difficulties warming up to people she doesn't know, but within a very short period of time, she was sitting in Joanne's lap, and lying cuddled up with her two dogs, and going for walks and playing with them, and sitting next to Joanne's husband on the couch! On the last day, she even kissed Joanne good-bye. Joanne sent messages and photos each of the four days during Lucy's stay, including adorable videos. I was 100% certain that Lucy was taken care of with great love and affection during my husband's and my trip away. It was so wonderful to come home to a clean house and happy animals! The babies obviously loved Joanne and their daily walks.
Joanne responded quickly to my initial request and we had a meet and greet a couple days later. It was clear immediately that Joanne was an animal person and Paige warmed to her quickly. Joanne provided timely updates and photos, took out my garbage, brought in the mail, and put in extra effort and time when my flight was delayed. I recommend Joanne and will use again.
This was our first time having a pet sitter come to our home. We loved Joanne the first time we met her. We asked to interview her before hiring her and she was accommodating and very pleasant. There was an immediate connection between us, our dogs and Joanne. She is organized and attentive to details. On her first visit we asked that she feed our 3 little dogs and let them out for potty. She sent us pictures of the happy girls while she was at our home and followed up the evening to make sure everything was okay. We are very impressed with her and you will be too!!
