Experienced Dog Sitter

Pet care experience

I've worked with a variety of breeds, homes with multiple dogs and volunteered at animal rescues for the last 7 years. I've cared for dogs with special medication and dietary needs. I'm a transplant to the west coast from New Jersey. Before moving I most recently volunteered with Animal Alliance- a rescue organization that helps find animals loving homes and provides interim veterinary and foster care. I've worked with abused and abandoned pets, learning to gain their trust and attend to their specialized needs. I am passionate about providing quality, personalized dog care.

Joanne didn't really stay over. She charges very little for cats, but we were really looking for someone who would sleep there and we would have been willing to pay more. We agreed that she would stay over and she wasn't there very much and hardly ever slept over.

Joanne was amazing when she came to watch my pets! They were both very happy kids when we arrived home! Thank you for taking such good care of them!

Joanne is the best! She takes impeccable care of our old, blind, type 1 (requires injections) diabetic dog! So thankful we found her!

When first meeting Joanne, I could tell she would be a great care taker for my dogs. I have 2 senior dogs that needed special care and daily walks. Joanne lived up to my expectations. I also think that her calm personality helped calm my dogs as well. Thanks Joanne!

I ensure that all of the vital needs are met (food, water, bathroom breaks) and gain the trust of the dog(s). Before sitting, I try to get a sense of the typical care regimen for a dog to stick to a familiar routine. I enjoy taking the dog for walks or getting them exercise (with owners permission!)
