Pet care experience
We would love to watch your English Bulldog and/or Pug! (Other Brachycephalic breeds such as Pekingnese also considered) We have raised our English Bulldog from puppyhood to now - she is 11 years. We have owned a senior pug for 6 years, and another senior English Bulldog who we'd been dog sitting since 2015, and then took ownership of her in 2021. We are extremely knowledgable about Brachycephalic breeds, and English Bulldogs and Pugs are our favorites. If you have one of those breeds, we are the sitters for you! Obviously we also love senior dogs and are experienced with them. Two of our dogs don't do steps, so we can carry your dogs outside if necessary. We are very careful and conscientious people and will take care of your dog like it is our own. We have fallen in love with every dog we have sat for thus far, and the feeling is mutual as you can see through our several repeat customers! We have a fenced-in yard and live in a quiet neighborhood. The dogs get plenty of playtime outside in the yard as well as some walks around the neighborhood. Our favorite warm-weather activity is sitting on the patio and playing with the dogs. We will usually host a maximum of 2 dogs at a time, including our own. They may be from different families. Things we would like to know before sitting your dog is their sleeping pattern (day/night), bathroom routines, barking/whining tendencies, play/walk routines. Please also include your expected drop-off and pick-up times in your original message so that we can properly calculate the price of the stay, including overtime. We may be willing to work on the price, so message first with info about your dog. We welcome well-behaved, friendly, playful dogs into our home. Dogs should be house-trained and comfortable at bed-time, i.e. no barking, whining, etc during the night. Dogs should not be destructive of furniture or house. Dogs should not be aggressive towards other dogs. We do not crate the dogs when we are not home, so as long as your dog is well-trained and loves laying on the couch, the floor, or a pet bed, we are all set! As a note, we typically do not watch labs, huskies, pitbulls, or other large high energy breeds. We have watched a couple of those types of breeds, and the experience has not fallen into our preferred situation. Notes: -We try to be flexible with drop-off/pick-up but no early mornings or late nights. - We require meet and greets before accepting a reservation - We do not provide 24/7 coverage during some weekdays and dogs may be left alone for roughly 4 hours a couple times during the week -Please, PLEASE try to be on-time for Meet and Greets and Drop-Offs/Pick-Ups.
Reviews
We were thrilled with our dog, Jesse's first stay with Joanna and Mathew. Jesse was with them and their 2 dogs, Peaches and Daisy, for 3 nights and three days and he was very happy and so well taken care of. He is 12 years old and has some physical problems and they knew just how to care for him. He seemed to love being with the other dogs and came home in better shape than when he left. I would recommend Joanne and Mathew to anyone who needs to board their dog.
Leaving Simba with Joanna & Matthew is always an amazing experience. They send updates daily and adorable pictures of Simba that are now framed in my house! Friendly, dog-passionate people, could not recommend them more. They are the only ones I trust Simba with and that I know he will be extremely well taken care of. Can’t find enough nice words. Thank you for everything!
Joanna & Mathew were such a joy to book with and have them care for my Amelia ( The Bulldog). They are wonderful people and wonderful hosts. In the case of my Bulldog, I could not have been happier, since they own a sweet English and a French Bulldogs. My Amelia and their Peaches bulldogs became best friends and were drinking, eating and sleeping together right from the start. They have a perfect set up for the dogs they host and a large fenced in yard, where the dogs can, well- be dogs; play, chase each other and just hang. Their knowledge of the canine world is vast and particularly of the English Bulldog breed. They've been updating me daily with multiple pics and vids that proved again and again, I've made the right decision for my pet home away from home. We'll be seeing them again shortly
Excellent dogsitters!
