LOVE ,WALK ,WAG !

Pet care experience

I've always been an animal lover. Growing up in Poland, at age 11, I learned what the true friendship is all about. My first fourlegged best friend taught me what unconditional love is all about. Since than, I've realized that we create our world, and fill it with love, friendship, and joy. These are the values we get back when we open our homes and our hearts to our personal therapy pets. I truly believe that EVERY, dog and cat, is a therapy (no licence needed) friend to his (or her) owner. Because they are cherished members of our families, we provide the best care and support throughout their life, and assure they have a happy and HEALTHY life. A Healthy Dog is a Happy Dog!! The right amount of exercise, depending on age, breed, health conditions of your dog can be delivered by our WALKS. There is a whole world to investigate, and sniff about, The right amount of a walking can provide great benefits to your Dog's physical AND mental health. So when you want to take your family for an all day trip , but you know that your Dog doesn't enjoy long trips in the car, or you want to get away for a long weekend but you don't want to put your Best Friend in the boarding kennel (older age or health issues) or maybe you just don't feel well, on the "not so nice" fall or winter days, or maybe you are just busey with the holiday's preparations, but you still want your Dog to stay fit, and happy, with their daily exercise, I can help. I graduated from Manchester Community Collage as a Certified Veterinary Assistant, so if your Dog or Cat needs to have his medication administered , I'll be happy to help. My family, husband Tom, and my daughter Allyson, are the foster parents to a diabetic cat named Snicker's that needs her medication subcutaneous twice a day , also we foster a cat with an immunity problem, her name is Pepper, and she also needs her medication twice a day , subcutaneously. We are also a foster family for Protectors of Animals, a East Hartford based animal rescue organization. We foster pregnant cats providing a safe environment for her to deliver her kittens, and we also work with the kittens to help socialize them, to assure they can be adopted, and become a big part of someone's family. If your Dog needs to be" tricked "to take his or her medication my personal experiences with my own 2 dogs that will be very helpful.

I have known Joanna T for over two decades and she is the definition of an animal lover. She and her family have opened up their home to countless foster animals and taken in so many as their own over the years; especially those who would have been euthanized if not adopted. Joanna and her family are dedicated volunteers in the humane society and even as a retirement career change, Joanna went back to college to obtain her Veterinary Assistant Certification. Over the course of our friendship, I have seen Joanna’s unconditional love for animals and honestly wouldn’t trust anyone else to care for my beloved pets. She is a very personable, kind, funny, responsible person whom can guarantee me to have peace of mind if left with my pets.

I truly believe Joanna will make a Great Animal Care Giver! I have known Joanna for at least 15yrs.now. I have known her to be a loving, caring, compassionate, human being. She shares and displays all these assets with not only her Wonderful family, but in people she meets, and the animals owns and others she cares for. She is very Reliable, respectable, as well as responsible. You can count on Joanna to get any job completed throughly, in a very trusting way. If I need care for any of my pets, Joanna is my best reliable friend to call. And I can rest a sure, my pets stay happy while I’m gone. Joanna would make a Great choice for your Animal Care!!!

Information Joanna T. would like to know about your pet

Before taking your dog for a walk for a first time I would like to meet both of you outside of your home, it will be more relaxing place for your dog. He (she) won't feel like there is a need for protection of the territory. This will be a good time for your dog to get to know me ( sniff the stranger) , and for me to find out any details about your dog behavior during the walk. Too excited around other dogs? Loves pulling on his (hers) harness? Are the treats allowed during the walk(they are very helpful in redirecting dog's attention ) .

A typical day

During our walks, your fourlegged friend will get plenty of exercise with the speed he (or she) will be comfortable with. We will not be joging .We will stop if there will be a need to do so or just to sniff the world around. I will make sure to watch that your Best Friend doesn't eat any foreign objects ( no matter how delirious the smell may be). During hot weather we will bring water with us so we can stay well hydrated. If we meet any other dogs we will learn to socialize properly or we will go our own way. We will try to pick different routes for our walks , for an extra fun.
