Pet care experience
I am a life long pet owner and have been dog sitting since 2012. It breaks my heart to take our dogs to a professional kennel where we know they will be caged most of the time. This is why we decided to start dog sitting. We do not leave pets in cages or in the yard. Guests dogs are brought into our home, hang out with our family, and get spoiled! Dogs will be leash walked approximately every two hours. Higher energy dogs will be allowed to run in our large, shaded, fenced back yard. They will be kenneled should we need to leave home. They are kenneled at night. We can keep dogs any time. I do work, but my husband is semi retired and will be in and out most days. I am home full time on weekends, holidays, and summers. We have 3 dogs that are inside/outside. We have 2 corgis (born 2014) and a standard poodle (born 2010). We also have a pekingese/poodle mix (born 2021).

Marlee has been several times. This family is fantastic. Marlee loves going there. This visit was for a week. No issues, nice communication, and I know Marlee was well cared for and loved.

Joanna and her family took great care of my corgi pups! My female is a bit rowdy so it was a relief to have my dogs in a home where they don’t mind crazy.

We do have a large fenced in yard in the back of our house. The yard is shaded, and we keep a wading pool of water available to the dogs at all times.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs. We are able to accommodate giving medications. We have also worked with some dogs that have disabilities. Our oldest dog, the standard poodle, is blind and nearly deaf so we do have experience working with older animals and the issues that come along with them. Also, please let me know ahead of time. If your female is not spayed, we would like to know if it is possible for her to come and heat while she is with us. We do have an unaltered male corgi in our house.
A typical day
Small dogs will have plenty of time running and playing in our house. Larger dogs are played with in the backyard where there is plenty of room for them to run and burn off that energy.

Availability
I do work full-time during the week. My husband is semi retired. So he is in and out of the house most days and able to let dogs out or take them for walks as needed regularly. As seen in our profile, there are also two teenagers in the house. They have typical teenage schedules.
