A DOG’S PURPOSE: To be loved, cuddled, spoiled and adored. That’s always the way it is at our home ... a Staycation for your furbaby! I'm a retired Paramedic and I've had dogs, cats, and farm animals my entire life, from 20lb Cairn Terriers to 120lb German Shepherds, horses, cows and everything in between! I have regular clients from Fitzgerald, Douglas, Willacoochee, Waycross and Broxton; Thomasville, Tifton, Nashville, Alapaha and Valdosta, and every place in between! I’ve raised horses, cattle, goats and chickens, too! If you have any farm animals needing care while you’re away, I’m more than happy to care for them. I volunteer with several foster/rescue/transport groups, have trained police K9s in the past, and trained my Service Dog. I treat dogs as a member of my own family. Their play is their exercise and their bonding! Your dogs will be cuddled (if they approve!), walked, played with, and will be a part of my family during their stay with me, or at your home. If you'd like assistance with basic training, commands and crate training, I can also do that during their stay! A trained dog is a happy dog with a happy owner! Please let me know if you’d like to discuss custom quotes, including how many hours of daycare are needed, how long a vacation/staycation you need, as well as how many animals are needing care! I discount for extended stays over 10 days/nights, as well as multiple pets. Custom rates for taking care of a farm/farm chores (horses, goats, cattle, chickens, etc.) while you’re away. I can give injections and medications, know basic first aid and CPR, and am knowledgeable about special diets, and senior dogs and cats. Picky eaters are my specialty! I have a huge heart for seniors! Thank you for considering me for your furry family member! They will always come home with a wagging tail! My goal is to put you at ease, knowing your pets are in the very best of care, and making sure they are happy and comfortable while you’re away! I’m currently retired and home full-time. Your furbabies will always be supervised! I have an unfenced yard, live on several acres, and dogs are never outside without a leash! I can also easily crate your dog if you prefer, but I do not use crates on a regular basis!

Joann came into a unique situation caring for multiple animals - She was terrific to work with and did an excellent job while we were away - She was very concerned about each animal and their well-being - Thankful for all her hard work!
My experience was really bad, because when my dog couldn’t get along well with her problem puppy, she blamed everything on me and my dog, and suddenly texted me she was unable and unwilling to take care of of my dog. My dog is a two years old Australian shepherd, potty trained, willing to sleep in crates and no negative report from my local boarding companies, but he sometimes jumps on us and is energetic. My fault is that when did the greeting, she had to keep her little puppy in her truck, I should know at that time that they couldn’t get along well, but I trusted her experience. If your dog is not really very well socialized and not weak enough to pull leash, I definitely won’t recommend her to you. I wanted to give one star but the other star is for her effort to book the local boarding company for my dog.
She's awesome!!! I had heart surgery at the time she helped us out 12 weeks ago, and she dropped everything and came over while I was in the hospital to watch our babies.

You’re welcome to bring yours, or I have several in different sizes. If your pup has a special blanket, toys, etc., please feel free to bring them! Your furbaby will always be supervised, and I’ll do my very best to make sure that they feel safe and comfortable!

Up-to-date shot records, including Bordetella (kennel cough prevention) and a form of flea and tick prevention, for the safety of your pet and mine. Information such as anxiety, separation anxiety, fear of storms, fireworks, etc., as well as any illnesses, diseases, allergies, special diets or any medication needs your dog(s) might have! I am unable to take dogs that do not have basic obedience skills, and can follow basic commands. Dogs with any history of aggression towards people or other animals, any history of destructive or other untoward behaviors will also not be allowed. High-energy dogs need to be cared for in your home, as we live on several unfenced acres in the countryside.
