Pet care experience
I'm a dog person. I can't help it. And right now, I am in-between furry friends. So, I dog sit. My home is calm and relaxing. I'm extremely careful and attentive. As a result, your dog will be safe and comfortable - and have some fun too. I work full time, so I only dog sit on the weekend. Please book a week ahead if you'd like to board - this allows time for a meet and greet. I have a spacious home in Palo Alto with a fenced-in yard with plenty of sun and fresh air. Our neighborhood has sidewalks for dog walking, with a pretty park nearby. My husband is available for any heavy lifting or to run any dog errands. My son also dog sits and between the two of us, we've taken care of many different kinds of dogs. I prefer mellow dogs who love kids and people. Older dogs are most welcome.

Joanie is warm, caring, and provides total safety and security for our King Charles, Reggie. She stays with him, gives him pets and hugs, takes him on multiple walks and keeps him near her - even at bedtime in her bed. Our family and Reggie are very happy with her mature, friendly, positive, dog sitting . Her home is light-filled and very clean. We will always use Joanie to sit our Reggie. Joanie is the BEST dog sitter! She goes above and beyond to care for your dog. Maverick stayed with her for a weekend and was treated like royalty-- long walks, lots of healthy treats, belly rubs, constant love/attention, and he even learned a few new tricks (heel and stay)! She let him cuddle in bed and got him his favorite treat, chicken. We received many updates and pictures on how he was doing which made us feel at ease while we were away. Maverick is going to miss Joanie until his next doggie vacation at her lovely home. Highly recommend her. Thanks Joanie!

Joanie was a fantastic mom to a loving yellow Labrador, Phoebe. She still is a wonderful mother to two adult children and grandmother to one fluffy grandpuppy. Phoebe was our family dog for almost 13 years. Joanie took excellent care of her and was happy to put up with the doggy difficulties we all know exist (e.g., accidents, doggy throw-up, rolls in dead and/or smelly things). Joanie is loving and caring but can put down rules when needed. She will treat your dog like her own, and maybe even spoil them a little!
