Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Joan! I just moved to the Northshore area and am looking to get back into pet care! I’ve grown up with a slew of pets from dogs, and cats to larger animals like horse. I’ve also worked as a kennel attendant for dogs, as well as my fair share of family and friends pet sitter.

Joan was kind enough to fill in when our regular sitter couldn’t on last minutes notice! She was so wonderful with our pets and left detailed info in each check in. Will be using Joan again! :)
Joan is by far the best pet-sitter we've ever found through Rover. Her daily check-ins included lots of detail and photos, and she was very friendly and communicative. Highly recommend, and we will definitely hire her again when we travel.

Personally, I own two cats myself, and they spend all of their time indoors, I prefer to scoop litter daily and change it weekly. My cats also eat a strictly wet diet to aid in their digestion. I live in a apartment community that is extremely welcoming to all pets and offers a vast space for playing, although I prefer to not host, pets myself.

Important information for me is if a dog is aggressive (toys, food) if they jump or if it is reactive (people, animals, cars etc). When it comes to cats, I would prefer to know if they are more to themselves (will they hiss or claw) or if they are welcoming. These are all for my safety and pet safety.
A typical day
When I’m watching pets, I try to get them as much exercise as I can when I am with them. For dogs this means walks runs outdoor time with toys and even hiking with owner’s permission. When it comes to cats, I also try to entertain them as much as possible depending on the cat. I also make sure that all animals in my care are well fed, and well hydrated.

Currently im a wedding florist so my weekends can be kind of odd but my normal week is very constant 8-4 shift. Winter time is eve more open dude to wedding season slowing down! So if you want to get out of the old it’s your perfect timing.
