Pet care experience
I have been a dog lover all of my life. I enjoy creating bonding with any dog that is in my care. I do not have a dog myself because I am not home enough to be a loving and proper owner. It's fun to be with dogs even tho they are not mine because of the instant bond I feel with any dog I meet. My passion, simply put, is dogs. I have volunteered for rescue organizations which gives me much satisfaction. I have been a house/pet sitter with another organization so I know what is involved and I know that I enjoy it. I prefer dogs that do not shed when pet is in my home. I am a senior citizen and a retired schoolteacher who is very active. I enjoy being outdoors. I call myself an outdoor enthusiast. I hike, bike and play pickle ball.
Reviews
Cats and home were well taken care of. Joan did a wonderful job watching over our cats she sent daily up dates and even did some small cleaning of our home.
Joan was excellent with both of our dogs! She took them to the park and gave them lots of snuggles. They were very happy when we came home and she took wonderful care of our house while we were gone as well!

Thank you Joan for taking such good care of Ellie. It was so nice to feel confident she was well cared for. I appreciated the call inquiring about my finicky dog’s eating habits. Joan took care of it by making her an egg each day and mixing it with her food. I know Ellie loved that! Joan took her for a walk each day which Ellie absolutely loves and it was so nice for me to relax in the knowledge that my dog was happy in a good home. Thank you Joan I will definitely be calling again! ?

Of course being with a pet is most enjoyable when the dog is well-trained in the basics. Both of us can enjoy each others company when the dog knows that he/she is not in charge. Rather the human is in charge. I like all breeds of dogs. I have no preference.
A typical day
I can walk almost anywhere - the more paths, the better. I am a hiker so I love being in nature and the woods. Your dog and I can play "fetch" if that is something he/she enjoys.
