Energy to match your pooch
Pet care experience
I am a young college student full of energy and excitement! I am passionate about all animals and to show that, I work as an intern at the Acadiana Zoo in Broussard and I love to teach about animals. I have three dogs that I've grown up with: a 16- year- old Golden Retriever, a slightly younger Jack Russel Terrier, and a 3-year-old Pug/mutt. I love them like siblings and am so glad that I get to see the differentiation in behavior among different breeds! I also have a pet hedgehog which, along with the zoo, helps me gain new knowledge about exotic animals as well as domestics. During the school year I live in Lafayette on the ULL campus, but I have a permanent residence in Saint Martinville, making my travel radius quite extensive! Although my school time schedule is not as flexible, once summer hits, I'll be able to take even more care of furry creatures!
Reviews
Joan is wonderful with all three of my dogs! I have a golden retriever, a terrier, and a pug mix. They are all very different in age, size and temperament and she handles them all great. She is so kind and patient with my little pack! I highly recommend her!

Information Maggie B. would like to know about your pet
Breed, special needs, food/treat preferences, preferred time or routinely habits. Allergies and dislikes.
A typical day
We can walk in Girard Park, or the nearby dog park, or even along the banks of the Bayou Teche! If there are nice calm woods near by, I wouldn't mind doing a little exploring out there! If you're not much of an active pooch, gently brushing fur and falling asleep on the couch is fine with me too. Fetch is fine, but trying to wiggle a ball out of playful puppy jaws is even more fun!
