Six Cats And They're All Family
Pet care experience
Most pets tend to flock right to me. With six cats at present and a handful of cats and dogs down through the years we've built a rapport. Besides the basic maintenance of feeding and walking/scooping companionship is essential and it's important for them to feel safe and appreciated.

We are so happy that we found J.J. my wife was having surgery and we hired J.J. to sit with our boy. J.J. was very open with his availability and was able to change the hours as needed. Having J.J. stay with Tucker allowed me to give my full focus to my wife and her recovery.
If I've ever met someone that valued the pets more than the people, J.J. is that guy. While his appearance is one of a tall Texan, he turns softer than a kitten's fur when a pet crosses his path. He doesn't do things half-way and he's the kind of reliable you could plan your day around. Both of my cats come running when they hear J.J. come through the door!
J.J. has a natural rapport with animals, knowing when to give anxious or new pets space and how to connect with them. He's meticulous in his care, keeping feeding areas and litter boxes clean, and does everything from playing with the extroverts to spending quiet time with the introverts. My skittish, anxious cats responded to him immediately, and he is always gentle with them; even the cranky older cat who usually just hisses at people is comfortable with him. J.J. also loves and has experience with dogs of all temperaments - I highly recommend him!

Our six cats, all but one rescues, are indoor cats. Bowls are washed twice a day before each feeding. Boxes are scooped daily with one going out of commission for cleaning every week. Baking soda is under the littler and sometimes a little more is mixed on top if needed. When I lived with dogs I walked them twice a day taking a good long walk around the neighborhood so they could could get exercise and fresh air. I refer to them as "he" and "she" not "it".

Anything medical, any behavioral problems, nutritional needs, any feeding do's and dont's, preferred toys and activities. The more information disclosed up front the lowers the learning curve and better the service.
A typical day
Fresh air and a brisk walk are the centerpiece. From there I tailor to the dog's needs and personality. Each animal has its own distinct personality as every owner knows.
