Our dogs have been family members. They know, deeply, they are loved. We love our Geauga County Parks and Metroparks and know the trails well. Love to walk and trail run with friends on leashes. Our cats will not be pleased but when we dogsit our "granddogs" they have actually found a way inside the bowels of our house to hang out until the coast is clear. Our cockapoo Winnie passed 9/9/17 and I think of her every morning. My wife is itching for a new dog, obsessed with labradoodles, but I'm not sure I'm emotionally ready. Would love to have the cathartic experience of caring for and loving other people's dogs on a visitation basis. I think, at the risk of hubris, that I make meaningful connections with dogs. I can see it in their eyes almost right away.
