I am available in Minneapolis and neighboring cities most everyday for dog walking and sitting. I also can accommodate same day bookings for any last minute needs in case you unexpectedly need a dog walker or sitter! :) If you have a favorite dog park or your dog would like to walk with a dog friend - I am happy to oblige! As a longtime animal lover, working with Rover is my dream job. I have two Chihuahuas -- Sam and Emi -- who have been socialized with all type of dogs, ranging from miniature breeds to large breeds. Two of the dogs I’ve had have been rescues (Sam is now 14!) and I adopted a Terrier mix that lived until she was 17 years old. I definitely have a soft spot for senior dogs and I grew up with a variety of breeds from Terrier mixes, Brittanys, Springers, Collie mixes and Chihuahuas. I’m currently working to get my certification in holistic pet care and small animal massage within the next year. I have an extensive knowledge for how to care for and I understand animal’s needs. I'm a genuine animal lover with a long history and background caring for a variety of animals that ranges from baby monkeys to hamsters. If your pup stays with me they will love the private, fenced-in backyard and my neighborhood (Bryant) is filled with animal lovers! There are also a few parks nearby -- Phelps is the closest -- so there’s plenty of places for us to get out and stretch our legs. If the dogs get tired of playing in the yard, there’s plenty of house for them to find their own private space to chill out or take a nap. I have a lot of other interests outside of caring for animals, one of those is attending the World Championship Quartz Crystal dig and my next adventure involves digging for fossils in the Midwest. I also like to spend my time gardening, hiking, biking and indoor climbing and I work as a designer and artist, spending time creating things with textiles and repurposing/refinishing furniture pieces.
