I was always the kid who had to save the hurt kitten or stray puppy. I successfully begged for my first dog when I was about 12 years old and spent hours training Brownie in the front yard after reading books on dog training. Fast forward to adulthood, I've volunteered at two different dog shelters and have fostered dogs and kittens with rescues. My husband and I live in a house with a fenced in yard. Zuzu, our old lady hound mix, enjoys treats and laying around in addition to a daily warm-weather walk. She's not much for playing and is best with other quiet dogs. When the weather permits, your pup will get a neighborhood walk with lots of sniffing. I'm home most days, so if couch cuddles is more your fur baby's style, I can offer that too!
