Pet care experience
Hi there! I am Jillian, an outdoor girl and dog lover from California. I have recently moved back to the DC area after living in Germany for several years and can’t wait to get back to dog sitting! I have spent most of my life caring for and loving dogs. I grew up owning a family dog throughout my childhood. I had a golden retriever for 13 years (2001- 2014). My family now has an Australian Shepherd-Border Collie mix. This dog was brought into our family at 9 weeks and I gained invaluable experience training and caring for a puppy as well as learning how to best exercise a very high energy breed (2014 - 2015). I have also fostered a one-year old, one-eyed chow mix (Spring 2015). I then lived with and assisted in the care of a 13 year old Coton De Tulear, a 9 year old Maltese mix, and a 4 year old Bernese Mountain Dog (2015 - 2017). I have long term experience caring for a variety of breeds and ages as well as a deep appreciation for the unique traits and personality of each animal.

Jillian was a true petter sitter as she stayed with my Beagle day, and night. She was wonderful with Louie. She provided feedback on how he was doing throughout the day including photos. I felt very comfortable with her watching my dog and I will definitely ask her to watch Louie again in the future.
Jillian was amazing with Palmer. She kept us up-to-date with how he was doing during her stay, took care of our home and overall i think they had a great time together :). She is so flexible and works with your schedule so well. She is very understanding - we will absolutely be requesting her help again very soon! I would highly recommend hiring Jillian :).

Jillian is amazing!! She’s watched our two fur babies multiple times and they adore her!! She’s incredibly responsive and treats your babies as if they’re her own. She also does a great job keeping you up to date with pictures and texts throughout her time!!

My schedule is very open and flexible. I will devote as much time and attention to every pup as they need! I enjoy staying active and love to bring the dogs I look after on walks/runs/hikes. I cater the level of activity appropriate for each individual pip.
